About the Author

I did not set out to write a book about sex, pornography, dating, birth control, social media, or child sex abuse.

I set out to write a book about conversations.

As a member of the grandparent and great-grandparent generation, I have witnessed many of the challenges modern parents face. The inspiration for Before It’s Too Late came from conversations with families, personal experiences with my extended family, and discussions with members of the Howard University Hospital Transplant Support who share a common concern: helping children and grandchildren navigate an increasingly complex world.

My mission is to help parents become the most trusted voice in their children’s lives.
